Apple HomePod

Apple HomePod

With so many different SmartHome Devices available these days we knew it wouldn't be long until Apple jumped on the bandwagon with their own release of a SmartHome Device. Apple announced at their KeyNote back in June that they will be joining the SmartHome Device league.

As they usually do, Apple delivered once again with a product that looks amazing and a device you can just see throughout the house all working simultaneously together. The HomePod has a sleek appearance and will be available in a black and white in December, just in time for filling those Christmas stockings.

As expected with any Apple device these days the HomePod comes with the famous Siri and does all the loved features with trivial questions, clocks, timers, converting measurements, sports updates, weather, traffic, news, translations and much more.

The HomePod can control so many aspects of the homemaking your life just that little closer to luxury and taking the hassle out of simple tasks like turning a light on and off or adjusting the A/C system. The HomePod has the ability to hear your commands from across the room and over any music that is playing.

The Audio Technology of the HomePod;
  • High-excursion woofer with custom amplifier
  • Array of seven horn-loaded tweeters, each with its own custom amplifier
  • Six-microphone array for far-field Siri and room sensing
  • Internal low-frequency calibration microphone for automatic bass correction
  • Direct and ambient audio beam-forming
  • Transparent studio-level dynamic processing

Music through the HomePod is said to be one of the best auditory experiences able to be enjoyed in the comfort of your own home. With the ability to just its whereabouts in a room and use its advanced technology to tell where walls are to judge how the system will play the audio. The security feature of voice recognition keeps all your data private and safe from guests and intruders.

The HomePod has the ability to learn about your music preferences based on what you play through your Apple Music account and will take commands like "play something I like" and "play something different". With the HomePod once again locking the user within the Apple EcoSystem it gives you the ability the take your playlists and songs with you across all your Apple devices.

I personally can not wait for the HomePods release in December and will be adding it to my Apple family that continuously grows.
