Gaming News - PlayStation's NEW VR Model

Virtual Reality (VR) is a computer technology that uses a headset, to create realistic images, sounds and other sensations that stimulate a user’s physical presence in a virtual or imaginary environment. When using virtual reality equipment, one is able to “explore” the artificial world and sometimes move around and interact with virtual items.

Project Morpheus, or the better-known PlayStation VR (PSVR), is a virtual reality headset developed by Sony release last year in October. It is fully functional with PS4 video console and can output a picture to both the PlayStation VR headset and the television and can work alongside the DualSHock 4 controller or the PlayStation Move controller.

Sony has very recently announced exciting news of a new model of its PSVR headset which seems to contain a number of new enhancements to help improve the user’s overall experience when playing in VR mode. The upcoming model will have an updated design which allows for a thinner connection cable and for the stereo headphone cables to be integrated with the VR headset. The processor unit will also support HDR pass-through so that users don’t have to disconnect the unit to enjoy HDR content on TV.

There has not been release date for the new PSVR headset shared by Sony, however we do know that pricing is going to stay the same. All PSVR games will be compatible with both versions.
