Alessandra's favourite game

I couldn't decide what my favourite game of all time was, but this one is definitely my current obsession!

I remember in 2007 and uncle gave my sister and I our very first computer. It had a CRT monitor and sticky keys, but my sister and I were ecstatic to have our very first computer in our own bedroom. 

After a few days of exploring the "games" section in documents which consisted of Minesweeper, Solitare and of course Pinball we ventured to see which movies were saved and came across a new game "CRASH BANDICOOT." 

After my 9 year old, limited English-speaking, self decided that this program was not a virus I opened the application to be greeted an Australian style, single player, version of Mario Bros. 

Crash Bandicoot was created by Andy Gavin and Jason Rubin, originally exclusive to Sony and therefore PlayStation video game consoles. Over time, the Crash Bandicoot series has appeared on various different platforms and underwent multiple developments and has brought out multiple genres. The Crash Bandicoot series is made up of 18 games and has sold more than 50 million copies globally.

Last week my brother and I, after over a month of anticipation, were finally able to purchase the PlayStation 4, 2017 version of Crash Bandicoot (the remastered version of PS1 Crash).

The "Crash Bandicoot N-Sane Trilogy" includes Crash Bandicoot, Crash Bandicoot 2: Cortext Strikes back and Crash Bandicoot 3: Warped. 

We were not disappointed. 

Even though I must admit, I am a little rusty, and my brother has never played Crash before, only seen YouTube videos about it, we are both really enjoying the new game and as always competing; this time it's about who gets through the level fastest and with the most amount of points (or Wumpa fruit). 

The only con I have noticed so far about this version, is that it is very easy to loose control when "riding" (either an animal or vehicle) and it is also quite hard to estimate jumps of how far away from an obstacle from certain angles when the Bandicoot isn't running himself. 

Overall I would highly recommend this game to anyone who would like a throwback to the original version of Crash Bandicoot or who would like a new game that will bring out their inner child. It is a fun game that easily allows you to wind down, but keeps you on the edge of your seat as you venture through the levels.
